Slaughter and May Associate interview questions

Two interviews for an overseas associate. First interview was more informal, second interview included more technical questions. Asked a mix of technical questions, talked through CV and experience and role on various transactions. Conducted via video conference.

Rather technical oral and written assessments. The oral interview with them went more academic than necessary. They expect candidates to regurgitate things that are only seen in university textbooks. As practitioners, perhaps they could have focused more on how and where one could find things and apply them in real cases rather than mere theories.
