I applied online. I interviewed at Slick Rock Tanning & Spa (Spokane, WA) in May 2025
Interview
It honestly felt a little robotic, they were reading questions from a script made very little eye contact, and would take forever typing in my answers to the questions. I just felt like I was being interviewed by a very inexperienced person. It takes 3 interviews and the last one they have you make a presentation. They were nice enough but seemed a little extra for a job that only pays just above minimum wage.

Interview
I applied for the District Manager position at Slick Rock Tanning and Spa but ultimately decided not to move forward after the first interview. The process was disappointing for a few reasons:
The interview was conducted by an HR representative who read questions directly off her screen and spent several minutes typing my answers after I finished speaking. It felt impersonal and robotic, as though there wasn’t genuine engagement.
To make matters worse, there was an AI note-taker present in the interview, which recorded the session without any prior notification that it would be happening. I would have been happy to consent to the recording of the meeting had I known in advance and if the the interviewer actively participate beyond reading and typing.
Overall, the experience felt disorganized and lacked the professionalism I would expect from a company hiring for a leadership position. I decided this wasn’t the right fit for me and declined to proceed to the second interview.

Interview
Professional, personal, and kind! Great company to interview with. I loved their process and felt as though they properly presented the position. Everyone was so sweet as well while interviewing.
