I interviewed at SlugBooks (Riverside, CA) in Oct 2012
Interview
Applied on their website and received an email a couple of days later. We scheduled a phone interview. It was quick a quick and simple process. It was fast paced and moved quickly
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SlugBooks (UC Berkeley, CA)
Interview
Very quick. If you get a recommendation from someone who's already been working for a couple semesters, you don't even need an interview. Be highly enthusiastic and outgoing during the interview if you do get an interview. Most times, you will only hold the audience's attention for a couple minutes when you present so you will have to wow them/grab their attention fast. If you can't do that during a short interview, then that's probably a bad sign. So bring your A-game.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions are very practical so they're not difficult. Will mostly ask about availability (and prior commitments) since this job does require going around your schedule.
I applied through university. I interviewed at SlugBooks
Interview
Everything was done over phone. The interview was not too difficult, just basic questions about past experience and what qualities you have that can help benefit the team. He told me right away that I got the job at the end of the phone conversation. Everything flowed pretty smoothly. Fast process.
