I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Smith+Nephew in July 2022
Interview
I received a call from our recruiter, Shon, who was right off the bat warm and welcoming. First impressions are huge on both sides, you are interviewing the company as much as they are interviewing you, it was a great first impression. After that I interviewed with the hiring manager in person. Then phone conversations with 4 reps (2 that I reached out to on my own via LinkedIn, 2 provided by the hiring manager) - I think this is very important, not only to show genuine interest but more importantly to learn as much as possible about the position. They were all welcoming and answered all of my questions thoroughly, and then some.
Back to Shon. Experiences can be all over the place when job searching but I can honestly say it’s been the best hiring process I’ve had. Shon was always on the spot with communication. She was encouraging, transparent, and most of all represented the company culture perfectly.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Smith+Nephew (New York, NY) in June 2017
Interview
My interview process—> offer took a total of 2 weeks. I hear others’ can take longer of 2-3 months. First I interviewed with a District Manager, then 2 days later the Regional Sales Manager, and then I did a Field Ride where I shadowed a Sales Rep/Trainer for a day, and then I received my offer the next day after a dinner with my future boss.

Question 1
None of the interview questions were abnormal. I came from out of industry and they asked me why Smith & Nephew should choose me for the position when I’m competing against 4 other people with a lot more pharmaceutical and medical device experience.
