      Member Success Manager Interview

      18 Sept 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at SnackNation in Sept 2016

      Interview

I applied for the position of Member Success Manager. The process started with an email informing me that based on my experience, they would like to consider me for an Account Executive Role and invited me to a group interview. Happily I accepted. Group interview was with 6 other candidates and interviewed by two friendly, open, honest sales managers. The head of sales also came by in the beginning to inform us of the roles and pay if we didn't feel it would be a fit we could depart without any hard feelings which I appreciate so no one wastes any time. Group interview went very well with managing the answers to not allow a few dominate the interview. The only unclear thing was that you may be going in for an Account Exec role, however they may place you in the role below as a Sales Development Rep. The next day I received an email saying I moved forward and that I would a roleplay sales call with the head of sales. This call took about 10 minutes and they provided me with sales questions I can ask and the scenario we are in. The next day after that I got another email saying I progressed and that I would do an in person interview with the two sales mangers I interviewed with in the group interview. This interview went well and as I appreciated the honesty and openness of these two people. They said that I would be a good fit culturally but was concerned that the SDR role wasn't the best fit based on my experience. They said they thought I would be a better fit on the member success team. I explained I initially applied for that position. After I did a quick phone interview then had to make a 2 minute video to submit. I answered questions on why Snacknation, why member success, why would I be better than any other candidate for this role, and on a scale of 1-10 how weird am I and why. After submitting the video, I wasn't sure what would happen next as they weren't planning to bring on a new member of the team until later. I got an email after following up to tell me I would do a phone interview with the Director and VP of Member Success. The phone interview was only with the Director and it went well. After I was invited to an in person interview with the VP and Director of Member Success. Interview went well and I met with the COO the next week. We did have some discussions regarding salary after the initial offer was made and came to a mutual agreement. Overall the team was very welcoming and the interviews seemed to evaluate if you will be a great for the culture as well as experience in the role. With my past experience with "sales" titles, I needed to show how that experience is what they were looking for.
