Interview
Had over 4 rounds of interviews and the recruiter never got back with an update in spite of following up several times. Spent hours preparing for the interviews only to get ghosted
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Snickerdoodle Labs (New York, NY) in June 2022
Interview
First contact was 3 weeks following submittal of my resume, asking me to interview the next day.
Following the first interview I was contacted that afternoon asking me to interview the next day again. I moved my calendar around and scheduled the interview. I was contacted by the interviewer 30 minutes before the interview informing me an emergency occurred and asked if I could reschedule for later in the day or the following week. I agreed for later in the day since I had already taken the afternoon off from my job. I felt the interview went great and I sent a follow-up thank you email to thank them for the interview and said I look forward to hearing about the next steps.
One week later I still had not heard from anyone, so I reached out to the original person scheduling the interviews and never heard back.
While I am just another person interviewing amongst many, I put a lot of effort when interviewing with a company - as I'm sure others do; reading up on the leadership and organization as a whole and taking half days off from work to properly prepare. Not notifying an applicant of their status after multiple face-to-face interviews is not professional but to completely ghost a person and not respond to their outreach is just an unkind action as a human.

Interview
Video interview that consisted of my interviewer (COO of company) talking for about 70-75% of the interview. She began the interview by asking me to tell her about myself and after I did, asked me if I had any questions for her. I asked about the direction of the company and its anticipated growth. She proceeded to speak AT LENGTH, and for most of the rest of the allotted time, about the history of the company, but also about her own professional background and why she was interested in joining a startup. It was really unhelpful and gave her very little to go on about me, except for my listening skills.
They got more info from my resume and, all told, the interview seemed to be a waste of time, though it did give me some insight into what it might be like to work with her/for the company. It's too early to know if they'll call me for a second round interview, but I don't think I'll accept.
