Only met for a preliminary interview with the CEO. It was more of a get to know you interview. Ultimately, they ended up going in a different direction with the position.
I applied online. I interviewed at Social Imprints
Interview
I was contacted by a nice guy named Matt who was professional and kind. He asked me about my experience and set up a phone interview with the CEO, Jeff.
The first question before asking anything about my experience was what I knew about the company and how I aligned with their social mission. Then after that Jeff tore into my resume and probed in a way that felt like everything on my resume was a lie and he was disputing each bullet instead of asking for more information. He had a hostile and intimidating tone. I thought that maybe I was just being sensitive and I read the other interviews and glassdoor reviews from their own HR and feel like I dodged a bullet! HARD PASS.

Question 1
Tell me what you know about Social Imprints and why you think you should work here.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Social Imprints (San Francisco, CA) in June 2019
Interview
The interview process was 3 in-person interviews and 4 separate phone calls. No transportation support is provided to get to their office; it is not easily accessible by public transportation. The final interview felt like a panel of judges, with the CEO asking questions that no one would have the answer to in a manner that was intimidating. None of the interviews had consistent structure; most of them felt like a conversation and for most people I had phone interviews with, I had to lead them to the answers they were looking for. Be prepared.
