I applied online. I interviewed at Social Security Administration (Jamaica, NY) in Sept 2018
Interview
My interview was over 2 hrs long. I was seen promptly and greeted by one of managers. First, there were about 5-6 written questions. Then, a second manager joined for the interview. In the beginning, it was more of a "tell me about yourself" interview, a walkthrough of my resume. Then there were 6 questions (behavioral type), with my answers being written down by both managers. After that, both managers stepped out for a brief discussion. My interview then proceeded with one manager--discussing in detail job requirements, training, benefits, etc. I was given time to ask my questions as well. A thorough interview that gave me a good insight about the job, daily duties, benefits, etc.
