When professionalism meets poor process đ
Today I experienced something that really made me reflect on interview etiquette and candidate respect.
I received an interview invite from @Softenger â just 40 minutes before the scheduled time â without any prior intimation or coordination. Once I tried to join, I realized there was no meeting link included in the mail.
When I reached out to the recruiter for clarification, I was told that the email was sent to me by mistake, and that the position had been put on hold â despite their team following up with me for weeks to schedule the interview.
đ This wasnât about the missed interview â it was about the complete lack of communication and accountability. A small message or timely update could have avoided confusion on both sides.
Such situations remind us that transparency and communication are not optional in recruitment. A simple update or acknowledgment can save everyoneâs time and set the right impression for both sides.
To all hiring teams â candidates genuinely prepare and adjust their schedules for interviews. Letâs strive for processes that reflect the same level of respect and professionalism we expect from applicants.
