      Marketing Specialist Interview

      4 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Petaluma, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Solairus Aviation (Petaluma, CA) in Mar 2025

      Interview

I coordinated all of my own interviews, which made the process feel disjointed and self-directed. Unfortunately, the VP of Marketing came across as disorganized and unsure of the direction for the role. While the position was originally listed as remote and we discussed compensation and benefits expectations early on, I was informed only at the final stage that they were now requiring someone to be in the office 3–4 days a week and they were not able to meet my compensation ask. This last-minute change, combined with a lack of communication and alignment among the leadership team, made the experience feel like a significant waste of time for both myself and the company. I would encourage Solairus to streamline their hiring process and ensure internal alignment before moving candidates through multiple rounds.
