I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Sonder (San Francisco, CA) in July 2017
Interview
This is literally the worst data science team I've ever interviewed with. Most of the people on the team are pseudo data scientists that only know how to do sql pulls with no knowledge of statistics or programming. In addition, the people on the team are arrogant and unpleasant.
Had the worst interview experience. Here's how it went.
Day 0: Application submitted
Day2: Get an email to provide availabilities to set up a call with HR
Day 6: HR confirms the phone interview in the morning for the afternoon same day because it was given as availability 4 days ago.
Day 6 continues: HR unable to answer any questions related to the company or the job but gets my availabilities for the next round and confirms an hour-long technical interview with the hiring manager the next day
Day7: The hiring manager starts the interview by talking about himself and the company for the first 22 mins. Then I give a brief 2-3 mins of introduction forcefully (he didn't even ask for it lol). At 52nd min of this interview, he asked me the only question of that interview that was more of an HR question than a technical interview question
Not sure if I was ever in consideration for the role. I am all for unconventional methods to get to know candidates but this was a complete waste of both our times considering how the interview went through.

Question 1
No real questions were asked but wasted my full two days.
