The recent comments from others on candidate ghosting is true, having experiencing it myself.
Went through 3 rounds of interviews and completed the last round. Was informed during the last interview I will hear back within 1-2 days but was ghosted after that, no replies from the recruiter despite following up.
It doesn't hurt to give closure to candidates who invested time and effort during the interview process.
For a company currently establishing its APAC presence, candidate experience deserves closer attention. Employer reputation travels fast in our connected market and how candidates are treated during the hiring process affects Sonova's ability to attract talent.

Seven rounds of interviews only to be ghosted.
7 rounds.
1. Initial call with a recruiter
2. Take-home assignment
3. Talk with Hiring Manager
4. Talk with Hiring Manager's Boss
5. Talk with the International Team
6. In-person Panel Interview Vibe Check.
7. Final interview with Hiring Manager
After 7 interviews, I was told that it was down to me and one other person and they couldn't decide so after all of that and a work assignment I was told... "Give us your final pitch. Why should we choose you?"
I was told to wait. I checked in after 2 weeks and was told there was a delay in the decision-making process. I checked in after another 2 weeks and was told to wait.
It has now been 6 months, and I still haven't received an offer or a rejection.
Sonova/AB has a deeply unserious and outdated hiring process.

Interview
The process was incredibly unprofessional. I had an interview with HR, and after a few days, I was informed that I was moving on to the manager's interview. The manager's interview went very well, and he even invited me to an on-site case study, saying the HR representative would give me the details. That never happened. I sent two follow-up messages, and they didn't even bother to reply. I was completely ghosted. Please don't do this to candidates; it's extremely unprofessional, and it costs nothing to simply reply that you weren't selected.
