Two interviews, quick process. Asked competency questions such as how effectively work in a team, how prioritise work etc. Also asked some technical questions re accounting treatments. Was a good experience, and heard back quickly too.

Question 1
How effectively work in a team, how prioritise work etc
- First, I had to de aptitude test and language test which takes appox. 30 min. If you pass, they will inform you and wait for interview with Accounting manager.
- Interview question mostly about how to record the transaction.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sony (Basingstoke, England) in July 2019
Interview
Initial telephone screening with HR then face to face interview with hiring manager, HR and current cover for the role. For the face to face interview, I was ‘greeted’ by the hiring manager at Reception; simply an exchange to check I was the right person before she marched off a few steps ahead to the designated meeting room without another word. On arriving at the room, she said something had come up and she would need to attend another call after 30 minutes so wouldn’t be able stay for the whole interview. In the 30 minute interview with her there was no introduction, further background around the role or context around what her role was but straight into questioning.
Unfortunately it felt like the whole process was an inconvenience.

1st half with hiring manager was to understand my CV (although never previously experienced such aggressive questioning in what would usually be a bit of ‘get to know’ you part of an interview)
Second half without Hiring Manager was competency based.
