I received an email invite for a 45-minute interview with the talent acquisition specialist. The conversations went great, and in the end, I was told that my profile will be discussed with the hiring manager if I moved on to the next round. This felt like an unnecessary process because it looks like my CV has not even been seen by the hiring manager, and I have been called for an interview. How do I even show my technical skills to the hiring manager without having a meeting with them? I should blindly believe in the talent acquisition specialist in this case. So, the first round with a talent acquisition specialist is just a waste of applicants time and money for the company.
