I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SoulCycle (New York, NY) in Jan 2015

      Interview

The interview process took 4+ weeks. This included a phone interview and two in-person interviews. The phone screen was brief about 15 minutes of asking about background and why you wanted to work for SoulCycle (make sure to have specific answers for this) where the in-person interview was more behavioral/action questions (what type of manager you are, past experiences, dealing with difficult situations, how to motivate employees, long term goals, etc). During my in-person interview one recruiter was active with questions where the manager of recruiting looked like she could care less. The recruiter did not keep me informed about how long the process would take or answer any of my follow-up e-mails. After several weeks of interviewing and 2 weeks of waiting for feedback, they sent me a standard "we received more suitable applicants" e-mails. Disappointing experience to say the least.

      Question 1

Why do you want to work for SoulCycle? Describe your management style. Describe challenges you face in your current position. What motivates you? Describe a time when you had a negative experience.

Hi, it’s the recruiting team here! We are deeply sorry that you didn’t receive a positive interview experience with us. It has always been our goal to welcome people into SoulCycle so they can have a joyful experience, whether they are coming as riders or candidates applying for a job. As we navigate through the fast-pace and company expansion, your feedback reminds us to take a step back and re-connect with a few things that are most important to our department: meaningful interviews and a positive candidate experience. As we continue to grow and open more studios, we are constantly looking for great candidates to join the team(s) and grow with the company; making the recruiting process for the Assistant Studio Manager ongoing and without a standard timeline. We like to invite candidates in for multiple rounds of interviews and conversations with both corporate and field employees, which we feel helps to provide a holistic understanding of the company and culture and ensure that any new hire is the right fit for both parties. We apologize that the extensive process and lack of timely follow up caused you to feel unappreciated and left in the dark. We so appreciate your time throughout the interview process and for sending us this review because it's incredibly useful for us to know where we need to improve. We hope that any future experience you have at SoulCycle is a positive one and we wish you the best of luck! SoulCycle Recruiting

      Interview

Went through 3 rounds, one with HR, one with local SM, and one with someone from HQ. Most of the interview questions were situational scenerios and emotional connection with the company.

      Interview

The process took a while, but was worth it! There are definitely improvements that can be made to the spacing of the interviews but everyone is incredibly busy and if you want to work at a fast-paced company, you must accept that you may need to wait a few days for the recruiter to contact you regarding next steps.

      Interview

Save yourself the time and energy. Perhaps one of the worst interviews I have been on. The whole process took about a month and it seemed like each interviewer was giving different descriptions of the job and training schedules. Throughout my interview process, I was told "When you are the manager" and "When you get selected." The main recruiter did not keep me informed at all during the process (aside from scheduling the interviews) and I had to check in twice to see what was going on as it had been over two weeks since we spoke last. She kept pushing the deadline back and finally I was told they were moving forward with an internal candidate. Super frustrating to even interview external candidates only for an internal one to get the position. Be shock there. I would not even bother with this company.
