I applied online. I interviewed at Sound Transit (Seattle, WA)
Interview
Easy panel interview. It took almost two months after to get a job offer. So other opportunities could arrive faster than Sound Transit’s job offer if there is one. I think that this could make me hesitant if I had to follow this slow process again.
I applied online. I interviewed at Sound Transit (Seattle, WA) in Sept 2024
Interview
1) Talent Acquisition reaches out via email to schedule a phone screen. 2) Phone conversation (15-30 min) with talent acquisition. Pretty standard screening questions. 3) Was informed I should hear back within a week after initial call if moving on to next steps. 4) Didn't receive an update until about 5-6 weeks later stating the hiring manager would be moving forward with other candidates. This was during a period of mass layoffs throughout the city so it was understandable that the process took longer at the time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you know about Sound Transit? Why do you want to work here? What skills or experience do you have that is in line with this role? Also asked about employment gaps.
It was a general overview, focusing on the responsibilities of the position, but asking some specific questions about background that would contribute to success in the role. A few of the questions seemed like they would have stumped someone who had exaggerated their relevant qualifications.
