      QA Engineer Interview

      Interview

Applied for the QA Engineer role and only found out the position had been filled after receiving a standard rejection email. There was no communication during the application process regarding timelines or progress, so the update came as a closed outcome rather than part of an ongoing process. For a role attracting multiple applicants, clearer status updates would be expected as a basic part of candidate communication. The email then asked if my details could be kept on file for future roles, which I declined given there had been no engagement or updates during the process itself. Overall, the experience felt quite one-sided from an applicant perspective, with minimal communication until the outcome was already decided.
