It was a very interesting interview process that I have never experienced before. I had 3 phone call interviews and ultimately was invited for a final interview at the SpaceX HQ in Hawthorne. I was required to give a "15-20 minute presentation" on my past work, which turned into an hour-long presentation in which I was asked a multitude of questions throughout. I prepared heavily and worked for multiple days on my presentation. Immediately following my presentation, I was taken into 4 back-to-back 30-minute interviews. It was incredibly intense, and by the third 30-minute interview, I was definitely in need of a break.
This all goes to say I thought I did well in the interview, and I received a call a few days later from my recruiter vaguely saying they would like to "offer me A position," and she would get back to me with details. I followed up a couple of times and did not hear back from the recruiter after this call. I was making arrangements to accept the role as she had mentioned she received positive feedback.
Ultimately, after the first follow-up call from my recruiter, I never heard back from her. All-in-all, two weeks later, I received an automated email stating I did not get the job. I feel extremely disrespected and like I wasted a lot of time.
