Recruiter reaches out to me after I submitted my application online, asking to schedule a time to talk about the role and my background. I enter my availability, and they get back to me with a time for this interview(Wednesday, 10 AM). 8:30 Pm the night before, the recruiter reaches out to me to reschedule to the upcoming Monday at 10 AM. I confirm that this time works for me. Come Monday, 10 AM, recruiter doesn't show up. I ask where the recruiter is, I don't hear from the recruiter until around 2 PM that day. Recruiter asks to reschedule again to Wednesday 10 AM.
Get called at Wednesday finally, however it's clear the recruiter didn't look over my resume, or the portfolio(which was asked for). Get asked some technical questions, which i answered correctly. I talk about my background, nothing negative gets brought up. Get told i will get a response in " two days".
Don't hear anything for 2 weeks. Then, get an automated rejection email. This was extremely frustrating, as I had essentially asked my work if I could come in late for 3 separate occasions, just for my application to not really be considered.
SpaceX - you hire the brightest engineers and hold them to the highest standards, expecting them to work up more than 60 hours a week while being extremely careful and precise. It's time you hold your recruiting process to the same standard. Experiences like these, and recruiters ghosting candidates seem to be commonplace.
