The process includes an initial phone call with a recruiter and then an interview on-site for about an hour and a half. Technical questions regarding the position were on-point and overall it seemed relevant. However there were a few red flags I would like to point out here.
First is that the interviewers continuously interrupt you. While talking about my experience and past projects instead of listening and then asking questions the interviewers interrupted me several times, this to me is a red flag as there's a flow to an idea or a point to be made.
Second is that the team lead mentioned engineering work done by the team in a negative way. This to me is another red flag as this is a business and not a research institute of course there's engineering work to be done the deploy solutions.
Third and what I deem as the biggest red flag is the fact that a few weeks have passed and I was not contacted regarding the position, while it is unpleasant to be rejected it is part of the process. It is very uncommon and alarming that you invite someone to your office that is not that accesible and then just forget about that person. If that is how you behave towards candidates I do not dare to think how you behave towards employees. I hope I am wrong and that this is an honest mistake, but this is very unusual to say the least.
