Interview
HR contacts and sets up interview. 5 to 6 rounds before final offer. Each round by different engineers and finally by CEO. Similar questions asked. Some technical and some about previous work.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Sparkcentral (San Francisco, CA) in June 2017
Interview
TLDR: very poor interaction with the recruiter that took days to respond and finally just ignored my
The recruiter reached out to me and we had a few email back and forth. It took between 2-5 days for the recruiter to respond back. We finally setup a time to do a call and afterwards, the recruiter told me he will get back to me in a couple of days.
Almost 2 weeks went by and I never heard back from the recruiter. My follow-up email was never responded.
If it was determined that I was not a good match, I am fine if the recruiter will be upfront about that. However, dropping all communication all of a sudden at this stage of the recruiting cycle is uncalled for, not to mention rude.
My apologies you had this experience. I'm following up internally to see exactly where we went wrong and we will take steps to prevent this in the future.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sparkcentral (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2017
Interview
I was contacted by their recruiter after applying. After a quick phone screen, I was interviewed by their head of HR and subsequently scheduled for an onsite.
Onsite interviews were of 30 minute duration and enjoyable. I met 3 interviewers and there were no repetitious questions.
Unlike other companies, I was given feedback on why I didn't get the job. I had a positive candidate experience.

Question 1
I was given a Director-level position and asked how I would source candidates for this role.
Hi, this is Davy, CEO of Sparkcentral.
Thank you for leaving this feedback. Even though the team decided not to move forward with an offer, I hope you were able to find a fulfilling opportunity elsewhere.
Hopefully, our paths cross again in the future and when we're larger and there's a need for additional headcount in this department, you'll consider re-applying for a role at Sparkcentral.
All the best,
Davy
