      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sparta Global (London, England) in Aug 2019

      Interview

Applied online and quickly recieved a call in which I had a brief chat with their representative about my experience and skills. They said I seemed suitable so I was invited to an assessment day the following week. The assessment day was like no other I had been to, more of a sales pitch in my opinion. I had read a few reviews about Sparta prior to the day so I had an idea of what they were going to say but I kept an open mind. They do train provide training courses for which you must self sustain and once the training is completed you are tasked with interviewing with their clients to find a placement. There is little say to where you go, they usually send you off to whoever replies first. They present this absurd system under the disguise of innovation, and spend most of the day trying to convince you it's okay and normal for this to occur. The day itself was good for experience, consisting of two group tasks and a short interview, and the data course leader seems a very nice person but it does not make up for their strange employment model. They do claim good employment rates post training but I would definitely take what they say with some caution. The job adverts are extremely misleading and the practice seems very dishonest.
