      Interview

I applied through a recruitment agency. After a screening 1:1 interview, I met with a prospective manager and a HR manager. It was a classic interview, they went through the CV and applied the STAR method for questions. They were listening to my replies, asked questions and took plenty of notes.

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Spencer Stuart (Amsterdam) in Jan 2015

      Interview

After initial contact I was invited for an interview at their office and for a respective skills based assessment. The whole interview/assessment lasted about 3 hours. There was a group interview, conducted by knowledge managers/supervisors, no HRs - one of them was present via web connection. No surprise questions, most of them were though STAR structured, but the overall impression was that neither of them was listening/coordinating their questions - I heard the same questions quite a few times , as I attempted to provide and repeat my responses/examples in order. Felt quite intimidated and the atmosphere was somehow unpleasant. I got the impression that they were looking for an administrator, recent graduate with no experience, but particular passions. The assessment was to prepare, summarize, edit and research information, in the context of the position.
