      Global Impact Lead Interview

      10 Sept 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Splunk (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2019

      Interview

      # of days: +60 days +O (6/29/2019): Applied +19 (7/11/2019): quick chat hiring manager.. Due to knew him +35 (8/14/2019): call with recruiter (i.e. to there defense apparently my app had wrong email) +7: recruiter emailed saying going send coding email +5: coding link sent +7: spent entire day refreshing memory on python. Would preferred a Spunk challenge instead. Took test codility exam and got 100% on practical then took actual exam in 1.15 hrs and bombed it! Extremely difficult exam (Sr. Software engineer style questions). The python question was to code a magic matrix and how move files using bash script. The whole time I'm like this is ridiculous for tech manager. +10 days email recruiter for updates. Responded with others still taking exam will update in 24hrs. No response 3 days later +6 notify they going to hire internally. Complete waste of time. **I've now interviewed with Splunk few times and one slowest/flip flopper processes/misleading.
