Interview
I was invited to interview to oversee the company's podcasting efforts with an immediate focus on sports. The interviewer didn't seem to know much about my background nor was there an interest in hearing how I could elevate the company's move into digital audio. It felt like a decision was already made, and I was there for HR purposes.

Most of the discussion was generic ranging from 'tell me about the places you worked, what led you back to NY, what are your goals, etc..'
Reached out by email, had a screening call with a recruiter who asked about my personal circumstances and interest in the job, and gave me clear timelines for when I would hear a yes/no from the hiring manager.
