I applied online with a resume and some short answers to queries like "tell us about yourself" and "what makes you special enough for Spreetail?" I then had a phone interview/ screening where I was asked questions like "Why are you applying here?" and "What was your most recent passion project?"
Having passed that, I had an interview with my hiring manager who asked me questions about my work commitment, how I've made a difference or stepped up to the plate on previous teams, and other culture-based questions.
I then had a few days to write a work sample and I went "above and beyond" (one of the favorite phrases there) to make sure I showcased my photo editing and web design skills in addition to the writing sample.
After a few weeks, I was told they wanted to hire a different manager first and I was put on hold. Luckily I had my own freelance work, but I was really biting my nails.
Then once the new manager was hired, she did a phone screening to see if we'd get along.
They no longer do this, but I had to come in for a Wonderlic Test (basically a mini ACT) while the HR manager supervised.
I got a call later saying I was hired.
The whole process took about 3 months. I would estimate it takes maybe a month or less now.
