I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Sprouts Farmers Market in May 2019
Interview
I first got an email from the recruiter on May 10, 2019. She asked for my schedule so that she could speak to me in person. I replied the next day, which was Saturday, so I wasn't expecting a reply until Monday. She got back to me on the 14th which was a Tuesday and said that she could call me THAT DAY at 3 pm, 1 1/2 hours after she sent me the email. I thought she would pick something at least 6 hours out. Anyway, she calls and IN THE MIDDLE of me answering a question she apologizes and says that she has a call on the other line that she needs to talk to, but she will be right back. She does come back less than a minute later and instead of letting me finish telling her about my experience (I didn't get to tell her my experience on pricing and making tags, and discounting items. which is apparently really big at this job), she just tells me that the last of their interviews the next day so she will let me know if I will be moving to the next step or not within the week...it's the 4th...of June. Four weeks have gone by and I have heard nothing. I would expect that from a mom and pop shop, but not a chain grocery store. Not a rejection email or anything. I waited 4 weeks because the interviews for the Grocery Managers on this site said the process took 4 weeks and I wanted to give Sprouts the benefit of the doubt. Someone once told me that if an employer doesn’t even have the common courtesy to send out a rejection email, then they probably wasn’t a good, *professional* employer to begin with, so I probably dodged a bullet. I was just upset because I was excited about the overnight position, and also the community service aspect of the job.
