Interview was super quick and casual. Mostly answering questions about my strengths and availability. It was about a 15-20 minute interview. The interviewer was transparent about how many other applicants there were.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Staples (Sacramento, CA) in June 2011
Interview
typical interview. you apply online and have to answer a bunch of skills questions that are completely transparent that they want to make sure you have empathy and always will put the job first no matter what. basically you have to lie and act like you will never have an off day, always are checking in on the emotional state of your coworkers, always patient, always on time etc etc then in in person interview. then they offered me the job on the spot

Question 1
why do you want to work here, how do you deal with a difficult customer etc
Interview process was fairly easy consisting of just one interview with the manager. Questions were the typical / generic kind. Got a call back in decent time frame. Wouldn't sweat the process.

Question 1
Can you talk a bit more about your customer service experience?
Contacted the company about a cashiering job. Was put in touch with the right person after a reasonable amount of time. Things seemed to go as expected. Nothing tricky about it.
