I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Star Furniture (Texas) (Webster, TX) in June 2014
Interview
Extensive interview process. sales manager, store manager, regional manager, background check. Each interview can take weeks to set up. They also offer open house interviews, which I recommend, because you can get all 3 interviews done in one day. Just expect to be there for a few hours.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Star Furniture (Texas) (Houston, TX) in Mar 2015
Interview
I was told the interviewer would be in in @30 minutes so I went there. When I arrived I was told he was on vacation, so I saw someone else. I heard about how much money I could make on commission, or the choice to be paid hourly. He said there would be 3 months of training starting in 2 weeks. I received a postcard a few days later saying that I did not get the job. I felt that after I made the time and effort and gave all my information for all to see, I should have gotten at least a phone call. A post card for all to see that I'm looking for a job, and didn't even get it! I was left with a very poor impression of the company, and a sign on bonus was listed in their ad, maybe to make up for the training period? Glad I didn't get the job, bad hours, bad pay, waste of time!
