      PHP Laravel Developer Interview

      16 July 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Startup Space (New York, NY)

      Interview

There was a email asking me to schedule a time for a call with the CEO of the company. I received the call an hour ahead of schedule from the company, got an email to reschedule the call to later in the evening, then another call 5 mins ahead of schedule. When the call starts, I assuming it was taken place during a leisure drive. The person doesn't have my resume in front, given the standard briefly tell me your entire career history. After that he told me about the company and we clarify the hours of the role. Then we proceed to get to compensation, clearly this person has no idea what an engineer gets paid, he then proceed to ask me what I am getting paid now. Which is illegal by the way, and this is where I decided this position isn't for me.
