I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Stevens Transport (Dallas, TX) in Jan 2011
Interview
After doing all required checks and screenings, I interviewed with the manager and went over the details that the recruiter and I discussed. Due to my experience they were forcing me to take their truck driver academy, which is used to get a cdl license, which I already had. The terms of the contract were to enter school and commit to them for 2 years or pay something around $3000. I clearly disagreed as there was no point in me going through the academy to get something I already had. All I needed was to go on the road with a trainer for 6-8 weeks to prove that I knew what I was doing. They would not allow me that opportunity and told me I had to find my own way home after they brought me out there.
Good very nice it was a pretty smooth process and not intimidating at all they were really nice and friendly. They were educating and ensured I knew exactly what the job role was like

Interview
There is no interview, basic phone questions. They will ship you to dallas on the crackhound and if you don't pass any tests or if they just don't want you they will strand you on the yard with no way home.
