      Remote Stitch Fix Stylist Interview

      3 Nov 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Stitch Fix (Austin, TX) in Nov 2016

      Interview

This whole process was an utter waste of time from beginning to end. Took about six months to get an interview because they said they weren't hiring people in Austin. So in the meantime, they send out update emails supposedly to keep you interested. After finally hearing back, I signed up for an interview. The interview process was a waste of time. First off, they didn't validate parking for their garage. How on earth can you have an office in the heart of downtown office, conduct a one hour interview, and expect people to be able to find on street parking during business hours? You have a garage attached to your building, so I'm guessing it's just greed and not wanting to validate parking. When I arrived, I was asked to write a note to the fake customers I had to style. Why spring this on someone? Give candidates time to prepare a note. Interviewers were OK, but seemed largely apathetic and almost robotic. I didn't get an offer. I honestly have no clue who they're looking for based on reading the interviews. Maybe college kids with lots of time? They seem to really dislike you having other commitments despite this being a part-time hourly job. Oh, and the pay has dropped to $14/hour. This is not a living wage for Austin. It's insulting and just a step above working retail. This interview was an insulting waste of time. I actually had to spend money to get interviewed.

      Question 1

How would you style this item for Taylor Swift? (I'm sorry, I couldn't type another question because my eyes hurt from being rolled so hard.)
