I applied in-person. I interviewed at Stolt-Nielsen (Houston, TX) in May 2026
Interview
Applied in late April. My first interview was a 10-minute video call with HR on Teams in early May, followed by a second-round in-person interview with the hiring manager and one of the team members. The third round was an in-person interview with the Head of Operations, VP of Chartering, and Head of HR.
All of the interviews were very enjoyable and felt more like conversations than interviews. However, the HR process was extremely unprofessional and I almost got ghosted if I would not have reached out for an update. As I value my time and the time of others, but its not the case here unfortunately.
For the first round, I was given the option of an online interview, which I selected along with a specific time slot as I was not sure that I want to make such a commitment coming to the office by the ship channel before speaking with the hiring manager. The recruiter completely ignored my selection and scheduled me for a different time. When I arrived, the hiring manager was busy, and they asked me why did I show up so early. Well, because your recruiter messed up schedules. So I ended up waiting for an hour after showing up.
I also completed an online personality assessment between interviews.
For the final interview, I was told that a decision would be made by Wednesday and that I would hear back on Friday. Neither happened. I followed up with the recruiter the following Monday and received no response whatsoever. After a week of silence, I decided to call the Head of Operations for an update, as they were the only person who had given me a business card. Within 5 mins of that call, HR reached out with a generic rejection email stating that I would not be moving on to the next round of interviews—even though there were no rounds left. There was no explanation or feedback provided after I invested time coming on site for the interviews. Also, the head of HR said that they are a family there, which made my eye tick.
To summarize, the lack of communication and professionalism throughout the process was very disappointing for such a well known company. I was very surprised by this. In hindsight, even though wanted the job and had all the qualifications and experience, I may have dodged a bullet.

I applied online. I interviewed at Stolt-Nielsen (Ljubljana) in Sept 2024
Interview
The interview process seems nice. I had 2 interviews + passed their exam (Predictive Index, Cognitive and Behavioral). Felt like I would get the job, until they ghosted me so that was a bummer. Later on I found out from one of the current employees there who personally know me that they were talking about my application, which was not nice. If I reach the last stage of the application process, they can at least say how it ended up.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Stolt-Nielsen (Mandaluyong City) in Dec 2023
Interview
Got a call asking regarding the nature of my internship. We discussed the number of hours required, duties and responsibilities as an intern, and the office location and work-set up. I was sent an online test afterwards, containing several logical and mathematical items. I was also interviewed by the supervisor, and I received the offer after.
