Application
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Stony Brook University (Stony Brook, NY) in Dec 2013
Interview
I applied on line through the campus residences' website during the end of the Fall semester. Afterwards, I was invited to a group interview process where we had a team builder activity that was monitored by a few RA's and an RHD. Next, I was invited for the individual interview process. Here I sat down with an RHD and two other RA's and they asked me general questions like, Why do I want to be an RA. In addition, the asked me situational question such as What would I do if there were two roommates having a conflict about keeping their suite clean. About two weeks later I received an email stating that I got the position.

Interview
pretty chill experience. group and individual interview. there are 3 RAs and at least 1 pro staff member interviewing you. I believe this system has changed though. the class that's now required seems like a better idea. they get to know you better this way. talk to your RHD so that you're not just a random person applying
