I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stride Consulting (New York, NY) in June 2018
Interview
After an initial phone call with a recruiter for Stride I received a code test in the mail. The code test was pretty straight forward. They want to see the you can write good, readable, and maintainable code with comprehensive unit tests. If you pass the code test they will ask you to come in for an on-site interview. The on-site interview process involves an in-person coding test where they pair you up with another developer and make modifications to your code-test submission. If you pass that you will talk to someone at Stride over lunch about working there. Then you will be interviewed about your prior experience, particularly working in Agile environments. Overall everyone I met along the way was super cool and helpful.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Stride Consulting in Mar 2024
Interview
I went through the screening, interview with the hiring manager, and another round of panel interviews with software design-related questions and a leetcode challenge without any issues. I successfully completed the coding challenge and answered all the questions.
However, I received a response stating they chose another candidate, which was surprising to me.

The process is pretty good:
- Phone screen
- Take-home test
- Coffee with a Strider
- On-site interview
The take-home test was pretty fun. I usually don't like take-home tests because they take too much time from the candidate, but Stride spent time speaking with me before sending me the link, and the test itself:
- The problem itself is something simple and fun
- You can solve it in around 3 hours
- It is a real Software ENGINEERING test, not a computer science quiz
Also, it was a great experience talking to the Stride team, everyone was very kind. The on-site interview consists of a pair-programming session, architecture and systems design discussion, discussion about agile methodologies and consulting in general.
I received an offer at the end of my on-site interview. I
