I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Subway (Evans, GA) in July 2011
Interview
My interview was early in the morning right before the store was scheduled to even open. The manager sat me down and told me about the job and what she expected. She stated that customer service is key and she wanted a smiling face and great attitude behind the counter. She only asked me a couple questions about my past experience and whether I'd be able to open the store or close it. It only lasted 10-15 minutes and then she thanked me and said I'd get a call back in a few days. I never got a call back.
Very simple and straightforward. Normal questions like availability, have you worked in food service before, etc. I think it depends on location though since friends at other locations have had more substantive or less substantive interviews.
Straightforward and professional with typical fast food interview questions. Friendly and easy to talk to interviewers. Reasonable length and in person made it more comfortable. Great experience and easy interview.
Was pretty average hospitality interview process, focus on customer service in a fast paced environment, how to deal with stress, team work/ collaboration, company values, and your past experience. and availability etc.
