I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Subway in Dec 2011
Interview
I filled out an application, was called about a week later for interview the next day. The interview was very fast, the manager of the store who interviewed me was young and I was the very first person she ever interviewed. She just asked me about other jobs I've had and if I really had open availability. I said yes and she verified that again with me multiple times. Then she took me into the back and started walking me through the process of having to go on to Subway University for training. I got the job that fast
Very simple and straightforward. Normal questions like availability, have you worked in food service before, etc. I think it depends on location though since friends at other locations have had more substantive or less substantive interviews.
Was pretty average hospitality interview process, focus on customer service in a fast paced environment, how to deal with stress, team work/ collaboration, company values, and your past experience. and availability etc.
Straightforward and professional with typical fast food interview questions. Friendly and easy to talk to interviewers. Reasonable length and in person made it more comfortable. Great experience and easy interview.
