Across two weeks I completed several rounds of interviews — via Teams, in person, and an aptitude test. I suspect there would have been a fifth round as well.
What became clear was a disconnect between the expectations in Hong Kong and those in London regarding the role. My interaction with the Hong Kong contact was particularly telling: they were abrupt, and when I asked a couple of direct but reasonable questions, they seemed caught off guard and not focused. Their responses were poor, and the way they spoke about their own staff raised concerns.
The organisation also pre‑booked interviews only to cancel them, which added to the sense of disorganisation. Overall, the place felt muddled.
