I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Sysco Canada (Winnipeg, MB) in Nov 2019
Interview
90 minute pre screening of the same questions being asked in different ways in an attempt to trip up the participants. Interview was with a panel of interviewers that closely followed a script. Two panel members were late and one was disinterested from the start. Seemed almost combative.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Their questions were fairly standard. I asked them about expectations of schedule. They were highly evasive in their answers and repeated the word “competitive” and “make your own schedule” with saying often Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.
Easy to talk to the HR, friendly environnement, company benefits and expectations outlined clearly. They described the team as well as the tools put at our disposal. In a quick tour I got to meet a few emplyees
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Sysco Canada (Nanaimo, BC) in Oct 2016
Interview
They showed late. I called the recruiter in Vancouver who got someone there within 10 mins but wasn't the person that was supposed to be there. The interview was over in a heartbeat. i kinda felt they weren't upfront with what they're all about.... .which is fair enough i guess as I'm sure its pretty tough to fill door to door stuff.
