I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at T.K. Maxx (Belfast, Northern Ireland) in Oct 2015
Interview
I was asked to attend an interview along with 9 others. After a brief introduction from the managers, we were divided into pairs and were tasked with finding out information about each other so that we could then introduce each other to the rest of the group. After the ice-breaker, I had a fairly relaxed 10 minute interview with one of the managers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked about previous jobs and the duties and responsibilities involved, reasons for leaving my previous jobs and why I would like to work at TK Maxx.
Had to go through several competency-based questions and scenario questions, e.g., what would you do in this scenario, etc. Questions were relatively straight-forward. There was then a paper 'exam' I had to fill out with similar questions, before being asked about my relevant experience and how much time I could commit.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at T.K. Maxx (Bristol, England) in Sept 2025
Interview
Very relaxed, was asked to talk about myself then was asked questions relating to any experience I had and to give examples of when I have used certain skills, like leadership and group work.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at T.K. Maxx (Wimbledon, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process was very well organised as well as quick and easy to suit all potential employees as they clearly described their thought process as to why to they was looking to hire me and why they wanted me to work for their company.
