The process consisted of multiple steps:
1) A phone screen with HR that took about 30 minutes.
2) A virtual video interview with the hiring manager.
3) An interview with the team, if the virtual interview met the hiring manager's standards and they wished to move forward.
My virtual interview was on a Friday and the hiring manager made me aware that he was going to be out of the office the week that followed and would call in people that made it to the next step to meet the team the week he returned.
I was more or less ghosted after that, got no further communication, and had to send a follow-up email to the HR department to get confirmation that he'd hired someone else.
I was genuinely excited about this role and working for this company, which is a shame because this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think I'll be applying with them again, which given their behavior, is probably what they want; I'm clearly not the type of person they want to hire.
