      Recruiting Manager Interview

      3 Feb 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at TP (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2020

      Interview

My interview could have been done over the phone as it was less than 10 minutes. The commute for me to get there and back is four hours, huge waste of time (was willing to relocate). I value my time and those of others, to me this was disrespectful. The interviewer was working on two laptops during the interview, I doubt they were note-taking. The interview was cut short, no reason why and given no feedback upfront. From what I can tell, I did not meet a job requirement which means I shouldn't have been at a face to face interview. The job ad should better reflect the requirements they're looking for. Pre-screening should be implemented, to avoid this from happening in the future. There's also no waiting area for candidates and no one to greet them when they arrive. I withdrew my application.

      Recruitment Manager Interview

      1 Mar 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TP in Feb 2017

      Interview

I was contacted around 3 weeks ago to be present in an interview for a job position I aplied for. After a first on top of time rescheduling situation finnaly the interview took place on a Friday. It was a very generic and high level interview based on the most common questions about my career. It was explained to me that during the following week a short list of candidates would be presented to the area manager so a decision about who was moving to that list wpuld be made quickly. The interviewer did not provide me any contacts but invited me to stay in touch via Linkedin or using the general company phone number and ask for her. After 2 and half weeks, after several atempts of contact via LinkedIn, via phone and via email I was able to finnaly get a feedback about my participation in the process. During that time no one show any availability or concern in providing me any feedback or facilitating the contact in order for me to be able to get that feedback. I was even informed during a phone call that by company policy no calls are passed to the recruitment team to place in contact candidates with the recruiters. Should a company not respect the interest and time invested by a candidate in their job oportunities? Should a company not simply provide anykind od information in a proactive way? Even more when the candidate is looking for that information?

      Recruiting Manager Interview

      9 Aug 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Shreveport, LA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TP (Shreveport, LA) in June 2016

      Interview

Applied on LinkedIn, received an email within 3 days to schedule a phone interview. Had a phone interview with corporate recruiter, then site operations manager. Corporate employee described a completely different job than the site supervisor. Clearly they had different ideas in mind for the job duties of this supervisor.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The corporate recruiter asked me how I would manage employees who never been accountable for their actions. Described job fairs and other recruiting efforts, but when this information was repeated to the site manager, I was informed it was incorrect. Declined further interviews, after reading more about the company on glassdoor.
