I applied through other source. I interviewed at TSM Concept (Ottawa, ON)
Interview
I applied and selected me for the interview. I went there on scheduled date and faced the interview. The office environment seemed friendly with 5-7 peoples. The supervisor who would train the selected person took the interview. It was the face to face interview. After their primary interview, they selected for second interview
I applied online. I interviewed at TSM Concept (Longueuil, QC)
Interview
Many people in the waiting room to be interviewed at the same time. Dozens or magazines and posters about "Leaders" and "Leadership". All of this contributed to raising my suspiciousness and I'm still not sure if it's a sham or not.
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO.
The person I met seemed pretty nice. However, when it came to discussing about "the position", everything was unexpected.
Their business model is : everyone starts as a seller, and they train you and coach you, help you increase your leadership and eventually make you an entrepreneur.
It's not a bad thing, but I would have prefered if they had told me this when they called me. I was looking for a mandate and I charge 125$/h, so being offered to start at the bottom of the ladder for a full time position isn't what I call an opportunity. Considering what I charge, I lost money and time going there.
If you're interested in marketing and sales and you want an entry point in this market, it might be interesting for you. Another user said they pay by commission, so be aware of that as well.
