Applied online through a referral of a job page I followed on Facebook. Wasn't aware after the application, you had to take an Online Assessment, just asked you basic questions about what's what on a computer such as a the URL and software/hardware, most are common sense then there's a typing test. If you pass that, it directs you to a page or you get an email (I can't remember which one) for you schedule an interview. I scheduled an interview for later on in the week, but the company was actually hosting a job fair a couple days prior my interview so I decided to go in.
I felt very uncomfortable as I walked in because no one really managed to say hello or greet me like ways I'm used to when you walk into any job interviews or even like retail stores, they just smiled or just looked at me. At first I felt very unwelcomed because I was a different race than most of the employees and felt like they judged me on that, though there were a couple to few smiling faces. They took me to the back with another girl and she had told me they actually want you to take ANOTHER assessment which includes reading comprehension, true/false, and math ratios and percentages since she's gone through it before and was there to retake it. I haven't been in school in awhile due to just making a living to work, so that caught me off guard. The lady that helped me was very sweet and four other girls came in, she presented a cute short powerpoint of what the position is. Afterwards we took the Matrix Assessment (as mentioned) which consisted of 11 questions. Keep in mind, this is me applying before getting Licensed but they help you get licensed with training which is really cool! The assessment apparently just shows them if you have what it takes to take the Exam after the training. My score wasn't well, so I didn't move forward though the lady that helped me told me I was welcome to come back and retake it.
