Interview
To start off the interviewer was late, but only by like 5 minutes so that was the end of the world for me. We started out with introducing ourselves and then immediately went into the typical “tell me about your background”. Everything was fine overall, and to be honest, I did not think I was gonna get the position.
The issue that I have here is that after the interview, the interviewer decided to completely ghost me even after I reached out thanking them for their time. I never even got a rejection update. The interviewer did inform me that this position is basically replacing them because they are moving on, so it seems that they are just moving very fast so they can get out of this company. It is unfortunate that the interview process ended like this, but fortunately for the company this person seems to be on their way out anyway, so I hope they found someone that is kind and cares to follow-up with folks after an interview (especially for a high-level position such as this one).
Interview was great and I accomodated them in short notice. everything checked out but they went dark and never heard back. I thought it was unprofessional the way they handled the process.

Interview
A sequence of conversational interviews that explored my backround and provided more details on the technology and positions available. A technical coding assignment that aligned with relevant project work that could be completed in a few hours over a few days rather than an online coding test. I felt this practice allowed me more opportunity to demonstrate my development knowledge and experience.
