I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tabletop Tycoon (Londonderry, NH) in Feb 2025
Interview
Phone call, then in person, then a paid tryout. I was basically just a office hand. They threw whatever task they wanted. Super mean and toxic place. The owner is really rude to people and is really loud. Talks down to you and thinks everyone is dumb.
I applied online. I interviewed at Tabletop Tycoon
Interview
I sat down with 3 people to discuss what I thought was a retail job opportunity. I had exceptionally relevant experience and was really excited about the opportunity. The interview was very imformal and unprofessional. The three agreed that this position would report to the CEO, who has a rep for being difficult. No one could tell me exactly what the position would be, but since I'd applied they expanded the positions available. Now there were 5 positions posted, for 20k less than the ad I responded to. One of my interviewees even went so far as to say that he didn't like the retail store idea and that he hoped it fails because he doesn't like it when the CEO is right.
This place looks like a playground and it seemed like it would have been a really fun place to work. They made the job sound like it was going to be the hunger games for a shot to work for an egomaniac.
What a waste of my time. SEA OF RED FLAGS. Stay away!!!!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very few questions were asked of me aside from describing my previous experience. I felt like they had decided whether or not to hire me before I even sat down.
To start they had me answer a few questions and take some assessment tests. For the actual interview, it was with three people and they had me ask questions before they asked me anything. Overall it was a really great interview, and it made me more exciting about the possibility of working with them.
