I was contacted for a position in Spain (I live in another country) that I had applied for. During the application process, I explicitly stated that my salary expectation was €55k. When the recruiter called me, the very first thing she said was that their maximum offer was €45k. Why even call me then, if we aren't aligned on the absolute basics?
Then, since we were discussing relocation, I was told that for the first 3 or 4 months, I would need to open a freelance position from my country, and only afterwards would relocation potentially happen. I have never heard of anything like this in my entire life. Run away!
