I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tanium in June 2024
Interview
3 different interviews, sometimes the questions are the same. The recruiters are very nice and are open to help with any question. After the last interview I received the feedback by phone, I appreciated that.
I applied online. I interviewed at Tanium in Mar 2021
Interview
***Be very careful, as your time may be wasted***
I had a phone screen with the recruiter, which seemed to go well at first. However, at the end when I asked about the next steps, they proceeded to say there would be no fewer than 4 additional rounds of interviews. After I tried to politely say that I wasn't interested, the recruiter seemed to be taken aback and pressed me for an explanation. I told them, for one, it's awfully uroganized and disrespectful of an applicant's time to not gather all of the stakeholders at once for an panel interview if their input is required in the hiring decision, and two, it gives a bad first impression company's culture because it seems no one is entrusted to make a decision and instead wants to cover their behind from fear of punishment. We then ended the call.
Tanium may very well be a great company to work for, but after reading everyone else's experience and based on my own experience, their broken and impersonal interview process seems to only leave a poor taste in the mouths of candidates who might be a good fit for the organization. Tanium may get away with suchba dysfunctional process during times of high unemployment when there are a ton of desperate candidate seeking work, but hopefully they will use my feddback and tbe feedback of other candidates here to imrpove upon their candidate experience.
