      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Tavant (Patiala) in Jan 2015

      Interview

I was shortlisted for the process from campus Thapar University. There were three steps for the process: 1. Resume Shortlisting 2. Appearance in the online Qualifying test conducted by CoCubes at Campus. This test had questions from Aptitude, English, and basic programming questions and puzzles. 3. After getting shortlisted in the Online test, there were 2 rounds of F2F interview. 3.1. For the first round, Panel asked below mentioned questions: -> Tell me about yourself. -> What is software testing. -> Different areas of machine learning and its applications in testing. (as i mentioned that i am interested in machine learning) -> what can be areas which is needed to explore during white box testing. and one question was there to describe my project and thesis work and two real-time scenario based questions were there. 3.2. HR interview: -> Tell me about yourself. -> why there is a gap in-between B.Tech. and M.Tech. -> Career Prospects in IT -> why do you find Tavant is good for you than the other companies you were interviewed? Salary Negotiation: Salary was already mentioned in the PPT, so No Negotiation session conducted. Result declared after 10 days and we got offer letter through mail. It was my first IT job. Finally my dream came true.

      Interview

I applied through a third-party recruiting agency and was interviewed within a few days. Although I was originally aiming for a contract role, the opportunity was full-time. Given my preparation level at the time, I wasn’t very confident about landing a full-time position.
