The Interview process was good, however the interview was awful. In the JD, they had asked for a person with
The interview started off with a basic introduction, however I am not sure if they really understood the tools and stack that I was using or were indifferent to it.
The questions were based solely on Java, while I had no so great experience with Java, although I tried to answer whatever they threw at me.
The basic thing that I got to know from this interview was that they were trying to hire a guy who had experience in Java related tools only. For example, when they started asking about API testing, I answered all of their questions but they kept asking why you're not using this Java related API/Library/Tool. I even explained to them that the tool/library that I am using does that same thing in nearly half the lines of code that you'd write in Java, but they were not amused by that.
So being a JS-stack person, really didn't help me here, because they were looking for a Java-person for hiring.
Also, one of the thing that pissed me about this interview was they always kept on asking how would you verify something- even when you'd give them an answer, they would ask how would you verify this and that, up to a point where I had to literally say that you'd need to go to client to verify this, because they kept asking about how to verify something, like they don't use requirement documentation at all or even know about it.
